I´m a huge fan of Patrick Rothfuss Kingkiller chronicles. The books are on my top five list and the audiobook is my abolute favorite. I´ve often tried to sketch one or two scenes of the books, but I couln´t decide which would be my favorite to paint. I love the Characters of Kvothe, Bast, Elodin, Lauren... and so on, there are so many good ones. So I decided to draw the scene which is the frame to the story. Kvothe and Bast, sitting in the Waystone Inn, talking to the Devan.
Well, and since they changed their appearance a bit sometimes (by light and mysteries) I tried a little quick animation.

I started the serie recently,as a fantasy lover and it was a bit weird yet strangely interesting to use an inn to tell the story,also how did a hero became a inn keeper?Why was he so afraid of telling his life story?What horrible thing happened to put him in this situation?Why is there a sword named madness?So many questions right now.Also this was a bit refreshing as a veteran of fantasy to see a bard hero and the story being told in first person.This fit well how the inn is described.
